I'm a physical therapist and educator who's passion is equipping clinicians with tools and resources so they can empower their clients with persistent pain to live full and meaningful lives.
I particularly love taking pain neuroscience concepts and turning them into creative and practical treatment ideas.
A little more about me professionally
Brittany Kim, PT, DPT, OCS is a physical therapist and board certified clinical orthopedic specialist. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California. After graduating, she completed the USC Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program. The location where she trained during residency was the physical therapy site for an interdisciplinary CRPS pain program.
She continues to guest lecture in USC's DPT program on centralized pain and lectures on the application of neuroscience principles into clinical practice in USC's Spine Fellowship Series.
She has taught continuing education courses about CRPS, pain conditions, dysautonomia, orthopedic management of the neurologic patient, complex case management, psychosocial management, and integrated care online through re+active education.
She mentors in the USC Orthopedic Residency program and through the Brain Bytes Community.
At re+active physical therapy, she serves as a physical therapist, a mentor for the team, and the Director of Education.
On a more personal note
Brittany lives in Los Angeles with her husband, son, and chubby, gray cat named Winston. She and her husband love to travel, eat anything delicious, watch nerdy sci-fi shows (hello star trek 🖖), and occasionally play a couch co-op together. Being a new mom has already been quite the adventure full of silliness, sleepless nights, & awe and amazement of how the nervous system develops.
